The conceptualization of REAP was done in a such a manner that would be taking care of the capacity building of the key resource persons involved in its production. It was introduced in the schools under the District Panchayat of Palakkad in a phased manner. In the first phase it was introduced in the schools where the key resource persons themselves were teaching. In the consecutive year it was extended to cover all the schools coming under the District Panchayat. A team of resource persons from Andhra Pradesh visited some of the schools where the programme was going on and appreciated the performance of learners. Eventually, REAP was influential enough to convince the policy makers that the programme could be up-scaled across the state.
